1. How do I become a spree member?
Simply by signing up. It’s absolutely free and takes only a minute with our simple
three-step registration process.

2. What does my membership connect me to?
In a word? Rewards. You’ll get CASHBACK on your personal purchases in spree.com’s marketplace, EXTRA CASHBACK on your referral’s -- and their referral’s -- purchases, special discounts, and more!
back to faq
3. Is this really FREE?
Absolutely! There are no membership fees and no hidden charges. Your spree membership is completely free and you can quit at any time.

4. What is my spree ID and how do I use it to get CASHBACK on my purchases?
Your spree ID is your member name at spree.com and how we identify you. It gives you access to every spree.com member resource, and, by signing-in with it each time before you shop, ensures that you earn CASHBACK for the purchases you make in spree.com’s marketplace. In addition, you will use your spree ID to refer other shoppers to spree.com so that you may earn extra CASHBACK on their purchases as well.

5. Do I have to sign-in with my spree ID each time before I shop?
Yes. This is how we automatically track what you purchase in the spree.com marketplace. By tracking what you purchase, we can calculate and pay you the exact amount of CASHBACK you have earned. If you don’t sign-in with your spree ID before you shop, we’ll have no way of knowing how much CASHBACK you are owed.

6. What happens if I jump around from site to site, "comparison shopping" before I make a purchase?
Most shoppers like to compare prices at different sites. If you do this, you must make sure that you go back to spree.com first before returning to the site that you intend to make your purchase. In many instances, when you leave a site the spree 'session' that was generated to track your CASHBACK is broken. A qualifying CASHBACK link can be maintained only when linking directly from the spree site to the store site, and then on through to the completion of a purchase.

7. Why do I earn different CASHBACK percentages at each merchant?
Because we want to offer you the largest amount of CASHBACK possible from each merchant. Simply put, the CASHBACK amount you earn is based on each merchant’s gross margin. And, as you can imagine, the gross margin on a computer would differ greatly from that of a magazine. So, instead of setting a consistent CASHBACK percentage that would be low, we offer you the most CASHBACK possible from each merchant.

8. Who do I get the CASHBACK from? Spree.com or the Merchant Partner?
All the CASHBACK rewarded to you comes directly from spree.com -- no matter which merchant partner you shop at. See, the merchant pays us a commission for directing our membership base to the merchant's site through special promotions and an ongoing presence on our marketplace. We then convert that commission to CASHBACK and pass that directly onto you, the consumer.

9. Can I use a coupon from another Web site and still get CASHBACK?
Coupons or offers obtained from sites other than spree.com may not qualify for CASHBACK. In those cases, another site gets credit for you; spree.com does not, so Cashback is not earned.

10. How do I refer other members so I can earn CASHBACK on their purchases?
Through word-of-mouth, Web site links, and almost anyway you can think of.
- Word-of-mouth: Just tell your friends and family to enter your spree ID as the person who referred them before they shop or join.
- Web site links: Entice your audience to act instantly by placing links and URLs to spree.com on everything you can think of -- your Web site, email, business cards, and more.
- Other: There
are hundreds of ways to tell people about the great benefits of
spree.com. You can use fliers, ads, and almost any other way you
can think of. Because like the program itself, the methods to
refer members are limitless.

11. Do I earn CASHBACK when my referral makes a purchase a year from now?
As long as they joined spree.com using your spree ID, you’re eligible to earn CASHBACK every single time they shop at spree.com’s marketplace -- whether it’s their first purchase or 4,367th. Because unlike other programs that just thank you once for referring customers, we’ll thank you for the rest of your life.

12. How and when do I get paid?
You earn CASHBACK -- a monetary commission -- whenever you or someone your referred makes a purchase in spree.com’s marketplace. At the end of each month, we’ll total all the CASHBACK you’ve earned: U.S. residents will be mailed checks approximately 45 days from the last day of any month that their CASHBACK balance exceeds $25; Non-U.S. residents will receive payment when their balance exceeds $100. See our CASHBACK Guide.

13. Do I have to become a spree member to shop here?
Of course not, but it helps. While anyone can shop and take advantage of the great deals in spree.com’s marketplace, only spree members get CASHBACK on the purchases they make. In addition, only spree members will have complete access to additional discounts and special offers -- so why not join now?

14. As a spree member, how do I shop at spree.com’s marketplace?
It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
- Sign-in with your spree ID (this must be done each time before you shop spree.com’s marketplace).
- In spree.com’s marketplace (http://www.spree.com), click on any one of the name-brand merchants you wish to shop at.
- Shop and checkout just as you would if
you went to that merchant directly.
That’s it. By you signing-in, we’ll automatically know what you purchased and assign you the correct percentage of CASHBACK for that purchase. You won’t have to email us your purchase confirmation or notify the merchant -- unlike other programs, there’s never any complicated process involved. Just sign-in and shop.
Please note: many spree.com merchant partners accept orders by phone. However, at this time spree.com cannot track phone orders placed at our merchant partner sites. To ensure you earn CASHBACK every time, you must order online via the spree.com Web site.

15. If I make a purchase in spree.com’s marketplace, who should I contact if I have a question/issue regarding my order?
All transactions you make in spree.com’s marketplace take place between you and the merchant -- just as if you went to their site directly to shop. If you have a question or issue regarding your order, you should contact that specific merchant’s customer service department. However, if you have a problem or dispute that cannot be quickly resolved between you and the merchant, we’ll be glad to jump in and help -- working around the clock as your advocate. Just let us know with our online form.

16. Can I use MSN Passport at spree?
No, you may not use MSN Passport while shopping through spree.com.

17. Does the
Cashback Marketplace guarantee my products, purchases, or
Cashback?
Our merchants must meet strict performance criteria in order to be listed in the Cashback Marketplace. The Cashback Marketplace does not guarantee Cashback. Should we not receive payment for or record of your transaction from the merchant, we will have to hold your Cashback payment until both are received from the merchant. Additionally, neither the Cashback Marketplace nor any of its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, partners, shareholders, employees or agents guarantees the products, refunds or rebates sold, offered or made by our merchant partners.

18. How do I link my Web site to spree.com so I can earn even more CASHBACK?
Simply place “?x=YourSpreeID” after the link
(making sure you replace “YourSpreeID” with your actual spree ID,
such as “spree”). For example: http://www.spree.com/default.asp?x=spree

20. How do I change my account information?
You can change your password, address (whether physically or virtually), and any other member information in a snap by visiting your account (located in our member resources). By keeping your member information updated, we can continue to properly inform you of spree.com’s great deals and send your CASHBACK payments to the right address. Note: due to a variety of technical restraints, we are not able to alter your spree ID at anytime.

21. What happens if I forget my ID and password?
We’ll help you remember it. Just fill out our online form and we will send you an e-mail containing the spree ID and password for your account.
back to faq
22. Do I earn Cashback when I purchase a continuity program where I automatically receive a product or service periodically?
You will receive Cashback for your initial purchase, but not for the subsequent installments.
back to faq
23. Why am I unable to view merchant sites when I click on their link on the marketplace?
The marketplace uses both pop-up
windows and JavaScript technology to provide its shopping functionality. If your PC is configured to block pop-up
windows, or has JavaScript disabled, the merchant links will not operate
correctly.
Pop-Up Windows
If you click on a merchant, and you stay on the
marketplace page, you probably have a pop-up blocker running on your PC. On the marketplace, all merchants appear in
pop-up windows, so you need to disable the blocker in order to view
merchants. Many blockers have an option
to disable pop-up windows for specific sites, so check the directions for your
blocker. (Due to the great number of
pop-up blocking software products available, we are not able to give specific
instructions on disabling your specific blocker.)
Some Internet Service Providers such
as Juno and Earthlink have pop-up blockers built in to their
functionality. You may need to refer
back to your ISP’s directions for disabling it.
AOL Users: If you have problems using the
marketplace through AOL, try opening Microsoft Internet Explorer separately as
follows:
- Minimize your AOL window, then double-click the
Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. (Windows users can also open
Internet Explorer by clicking Start in the lower left corner of the screen
and selecting Internet Explorer from the Programs menu.)
- Once Internet Explorer opens, type http://www.spree.com in the address window and click Go.
Norton Security Users:
If you are using a Norton Security
product, it may also perform ad blocking which you can turn off. Refer to http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/support_options.html for more help.
JavaScript
If you click on a merchant and a new window opens, but is blank, you may need to
enable JavaScript in your browser.
Enabling JavaScript in Internet Explorer 5.0+ and 6.0+:
Click Tools from your browser's
toolbar, and then select Internet Options from the pull-down menu that
appears.
In the Internet Options pop-up
window that appears, click Security from the top selection. Click the Internet button from the
content area, and then click Custom Level.
The Security Settings pop-up window appears. Scroll down to the
Active Scripting subtitle. Select
Enable and click OK in the window, then click OK again at the bottom of
the Internet Options window to complete the process.
